Marists believe that they are called by Mary to live in her Society, a religious community of prayer, fellowship, and Gospel ministry to the Church and the world. Marists carry out the Gospel ministry in schools, parishes, and chaplaincies in the U.S. and in other countries throughout the world, including foreign missions. The Marists accept candidates for the priesthood and brotherhood who are between the ages of 21 and 40 and offer discernment counseling and “Come and See” days and weekends.
